This Disclaimer describes the scope of the content and services we provide, the limits of what we warrant, and the responsibilities you carry when you use our work. It supplements the Terms and Conditions and applies to any visitor, reader, customer, or member of The Spiritual Agency.
1. The content we publish
The Spiritual Agency publishes content across meditation, spiritual practice, wellbeing, design, technology, marketing, and the business of independent creators. We host and platform content from third parties, including independent teachers, practitioners, and contributors. Content we publish is for educational and informational purposes.
2. Not a substitute for professional advice
Nothing we publish is medical, psychiatric, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, or tax advice. Specifically:
- Meditation and spiritual practice: our content explores meditation, contemplative practices, and spiritual traditions in their own right. It is not a treatment for any medical or psychiatric condition. If you are working with a mental-health condition (including but not limited to anxiety, depression, psychosis, trauma, or dissociation), please consult a qualified mental-health professional before beginning or changing a meditation practice. Some intensive practices can intensify symptoms in vulnerable individuals.
- Health and wellbeing: nothing we publish is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a health concern, please consult a doctor or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional. Do not stop or change any treatment on the basis of our content.
- Financial and business: any commentary on pricing, business models, marketing strategy, or technology choice reflects our experience and opinion. It is not financial, accounting, or investment advice. Consult a qualified adviser before making decisions with material financial consequences.
- Legal: nothing we publish is legal advice. Where we describe legal frameworks (UK GDPR, consumer rights, accessibility law, copyright law) in our own content or in these policies, the description is general. For advice on a specific situation, consult a lawyer qualified in the relevant jurisdiction.
If you act on something we have published without taking appropriate professional advice for your circumstances, you do so on your own responsibility.
3. Individual results vary
Spiritual practice, meditation, and creative work produce different results for different people. Testimonials, case studies, and personal narratives shared on our services reflect the experience of the person who shared them; they are not promises of an equivalent outcome for anyone else. Where we describe outcomes for clients, members, or projects, we describe what happened in that specific case, not a typical or guaranteed result.
4. Founder context
The founder of The Spiritual Agency is also a practising consultant surgeon in the United Kingdom. Content published by the founder on this website is published in his personal capacity as the founder of The Spiritual Agency, not in his clinical or professional medical capacity. Nothing he writes here constitutes medical advice, opinion, or recommendation. His clinical work and his work for The Spiritual Agency are separate; please do not interpret one as the other.
5. Accuracy and currency
We make reasonable effort to keep our content accurate and current. Technology, law, pricing, and professional consensus change. Older content may reflect a state of the world that no longer applies, and we do not necessarily update every published piece when something changes. Where the currency of a piece materially affects its usefulness (for example, a tutorial on a specific software version), we mark the publication date and revisit periodically.
If you spot something inaccurate, please tell us at editorial@spiritual.agency.
6. External links
Our content links to external websites, products, services, and resources we believe will be useful. We do not control external content. Inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement of everything that party publishes, of every product they sell, or of their privacy and security practices. Use external links at your own discretion and read the relevant party’s own terms.
Where we have a commercial relationship with a linked party (affiliate links, partner programmes, white-label resale), we disclose it either on the page or in our general affiliate disclosure.
7. Spiritual frameworks and traditions
We engage seriously with multiple spiritual traditions across our content. We describe practices, frameworks, and concepts as we understand them, drawing on lineage teachings, scholarship, and practitioner experience. Our description of any tradition is not an authoritative or final account of that tradition. Different teachers, lineages, and schools within a tradition will describe the same practice differently. If a practice is significant to you, please seek out the living teachers and primary sources of the tradition itself.
We do not represent ourselves as the originator of any traditional practice we describe. We credit sources where the lineage of an idea is identifiable.
8. AI-generated and AI-assisted content
Some of our content is researched, drafted, or refined with AI assistance. Where AI was a meaningful contributor to a piece, we mark that. AI-assisted content is reviewed by a human before publication, but AI tools can still introduce factual errors and we cannot guarantee absolute correctness. Where the topic is sensitive (health, law, finance), please cross-check with the relevant primary sources or a qualified professional.
9. User contributions
Where our services accept user contributions (comments, guest posts, member submissions, community threads), the views expressed in those contributions are the views of the contributor, not of The Spiritual Agency. We moderate contributions in accordance with the Acceptable Use Policy but we do not pre-screen all of them.
10. Indemnification
If you use our content, services, or guidance in your own work (for your own business, your own clients, your own students), you remain responsible for that work. You agree to indemnify The Spiritual Agency against claims brought by third parties arising from your use of our material in your work, except to the extent the claim arises from our own breach of contract or negligence.
This indemnification clause does not apply to consumers acting outside the course of a business; consumer-protection law allocates risk differently in that case.
11. Limitation of liability
The limitation of liability provisions in our Terms and Conditions (section 11) apply to this Disclaimer in addition to your use of our services. Nothing in this Disclaimer removes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
12. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
